I’ve heard a lot of good things about Bakergirl. So in due course I will need to check out their cinnamon rolls.

The newbie ride to the Milkshed is always a great ride, just long enough to justify a bacon sarnie at the coffee stop. This route is similar in distance, but just a nice change from the usual.

Following Anouk’s discovery of a Yurt, I had to lead a Condors’ social to this place.

Anouk fancied a different stop, and Google came to the rescue. Turns out you can have coffee/cake/lunch in a YURT! Anouk made the route, I made one edit and managed to add a bit of my signature shitty gravel road to the route. I just love CX.
The stop is early on in the ride, so ideal for breakfast! Or a late start, with early lunch.

When you are planning a (imperial) century, but want to go to the Old Shed, so have to loop-round just to make sure your cafe legs don’t kick in too early.
This ride includes one of my favourite hills out of Charlbury (twice) and the hill I hate most (Dragon Hill/White Horse). At least I managed to get to the top without touching the floor last time.

This route takes in Brill, to warm you of for some more bumps on the way to the Chilterns. The return journey follows the Phoenix Trail, an abandoned train track, which is partially paved, and partially crushed limestone. When riding it early April, it was absolutely fine on a road bike. It may proof more of a challenge in the winter.

Great ride for those rare days the wind comes from the North. Brill on the way back, just because you can!

This is a great route if you are looking to do your first century. Do check the wind direction though, you wouldn’t want a headwind all the way back to Oxford. The route also passes Aston Pottery, in case you want to add a cheeky coffee stop on the leg back.

Who doesn’t like Aston Hill? After climbing the Chilterns for a second time you can reward yourself with a delicious bacon bap at the Barn at Turville Heath.
This route has a tricky descend, see the Ride-with-GPS link for more details.

Nice alternative to London, staying south of the M40. Taking as much green as is possible through London (including Richmond Park). Great little coffee hut half-way.
